CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE OF THE EASTERN UNITED STATES DISPLAYS VEHICLES AT THE PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW
PHILADELPHIA - One of America’s oldest Concours, the Concours d’Elegance of the Eastern United States kicked off its 19th Annual event
with a display of vintage automobiles at the Philadelphia International Auto Show February 1-10, 2008. The dazzling array of vehicles showcased
the 2008 Theme, “A Century of Style and Innovation” as well as the “Evolution of the Tailfin,” both of which will be highlighted at the campus of
Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, May 31-June 1, 2008. Over 250,000 showgoers were able to see thirteen cars including a
meticulously restored 1906 Reo Model B Runabout owned by Robert C. Robinson, Jr. (Schwenksville, PA); Tom Marshall, Jr.’s (Yorklyn, DE) 1910 Stanley
Model 71 4-Passenger Touring; the 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom I “Oxford Style” 7-Passenger Tourer, Brewster owned by Les Schaevitz (Penn Valley, PA); from
the General Motors Heritage Collection (Sterling Heights, MI) a gorgeous 1928 Buick Master Six Series Country Club Rumbleseat Coupe; a 1937 Cord
Beverly Sedan from David W. Nuss (Havertown, PA); David Stitzer’s (Ivyland, PA) stunning 1953 Mercedes-Benz 300S Roadster; Paul and LuAnn Catinella’s
(Gwynedd, PA) rare Autumn Gold 1955 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster; a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible courtesy of Peg and Ed Regar (Audobon, PA); a
mostly original 1959 DeSoto Adventurer 2-door Hardtop Coupe from the collection of Doug Dressler (Mountain Lakes, NJ); the freshly restored 1959 Lotus
Elite of Joe Marchione (Absecon, NJ); a Mardi Gras Red 1961 Chrysler 300G 2-Door Coupe owned by William Irving (Waretown, NJ); the 1962 Daimler SP250
Roadster owned by Brad and Carol Rosengarten (Havertown, PA); Sumra Manning’s (Lansdale, PA) 1966 Sunbeam Tiger Roadster; and a 1993 Jaguar XJ220

Proceeds from the Concours help fund the Burn Prevention Foundation’s “Home Safe Home” initiative to protect infants and toddlers from serious burn injuries.
